About Barrett Legal Group
Our Mission
- At Barrett Legal Group our mission is to provide exceptional legal services to clients throughout Oregon, with a specific focus on the Oregon Coast and Lincoln County.
- Mareesa Barrett graduated cum laude from law school and has nearly 30 years of experience representing clients individually, in big law, and as in house counsel, and in a variety of settings, including transactional, trial, and appellate matters.
- Ms. Barrett has devoted herself to supporting and giving back to the community for over three decades through active participation with nonprofit organizations and their boards of directors throughout the nation and in Lincoln County, including child welfare organizations, arts organizations, and education organizations. Currently Ms. Barrett is actively involved in the Newport, Oregon Rotary Club and is on the board of United Way of Linn, Benton & Lincoln Counties.
- Ms. Barrett currently primarily focuses her practice in and around Lincoln County, including small and family business matters (organization, operation, contracting, negotiations, and disputes); child custody, parenting time, marital dissolution, judgment modification, and judgment enforcement matters (from filing through resolution); restraining orders (including FAPA and vulnerable adult), as well as other individual concerns (such as POAs and advance directives).
